I have been neglecting my followers for a little while. I bit off a little too much when I started this and then dropped it all together. I am back but please don't expect the post a day that I started with. Since I have been gone a lot has happened.
Google has launched a new OS for the Android world, and Steve Jobs died.
Who loves Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS)? Well if you use Android then chances are, you would love some ICS. ICS is the newest Android OS. For those of you that are asking why Google uses sweet treats to name their OSs, it is no different than Apple using tigers and lions to name their OS. Previously released Android OSs include Honeycomb, Gingerbread, Froyo, Eclair, Doughnut, and Cupcake. The next OS (in the works now) will be named Jellybean.
While my electronic heart lies with Android, I was shocked when Jobs died. He has opened the world of mobile phones to the connected world. iPhones (which Jobs was very passionate about) helped the smartphone community develop and produce better smartphones. Cellphones used to be big and clunky with huge batteries or no battery at all, with very little screens. Smartphones now come with optional buttons and huge screens, with little batteries.
As always thank you for your time and enjoy.
